Background:
Mr. Akatrai has been in investment real estate, specializing in marketing, sales and exchanges of Leased Investments and Multi-unit residential income properties since 1978. Mr. Akatrai was previously associated with major regional and national real estate companies. He has worked closely with Asset Managers of G. E. Capital Asset Management, Bank of America, and American Savings Bank. He also assisted several clients in acquiring REO properties from CENFED, Berkeley Federal, Coast Federal Bank, First Federal Bank, Freddie Mac and BancOne.
Before entering real estate brokerage, Mr. Akatrai was involved in various businesses overseas and in the United States. He has also developed, constructed and owned multi-unit properties. With his varied experience, it has served him well in counseling his clients in the analysis, acquisition and disposition of their real estate investments.
Besides having completed investment courses at the various real estate brokerage offices, Mr. Akatrai is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Upon completion of graduate level 200 hours curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience, the CCIM designation is awarded by CCIM Institute to certified professionals in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation and investment analysis. He has also completed a course in "Group Investments" and was a member of RESSI (Real Estate Syndication and Securities Institute).
